Keith D. Lawson

Keith Lawson is Senior Counsel, Tax Law for the Investment Company Institute and ICI Global. Lawson has been involved in global tax issues since 1988. Presently, he chairs the Business Advisory Group to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD’s) projects on the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Tax Relief and Compliance Enhancement (TRACE). Previously, Lawson was a member of the OECD’s Informal Consultative Group on the taxation of collective investment vehicles. Prior to joining ICI in 1988, Lawson worked for a Washington, DC, law firm, served as the law clerk to the Chief Judge of the U.S. Tax Court, and worked for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. Lawson graduated summa cum laude from Western Maryland College and received his law degree (with highest honors) from George Washington University. |
