Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credit

This program should qualify for approximately 4.0 hours of CLE credit, depending on individual state requirements. ICI is an accredited course provider for California and Pennsylvania. Because credit requirements vary by state and are governed by different regulatory agencies, please contact your governing body to learn if this program meets your individual requirements and if reciprocity is applicable.  

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit

Upon completion of this program, participants may be eligible for up to 4.5 hours of CPE credit. ICI is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org

Learning objectives: To provide an overview of the fundamentals of fund director oversight, including board governance practices; regulatory responsibilities of fund directors, such as oversight of investment advisory contract approval; and board oversight of other fund matters, including investment performance and risk management.

Attendance

Due to NASBA recordkeeping requirements, please be sure to follow the instructions for attendance tracking. Late arrivals, early departures, and taking extended breaks may result in not receiving full credit. CPE certificates will be emailed to you two to four weeks after the conference.

Financial Aid Policy

ICI will make full or partial scholarships available for Institute conferences to lawyers and law students experiencing financial hardships. Under this policy, a financial hardship is defined as income of $50,000 or less.

Unemployed: Full scholarship
Income up to $50,000: 75 percent discount
Income $50,000 to $75,000: 50 percent discount
Income above $75,000: No discount

To apply for financial aid, please send an email to CLE@ici.org, stating your interest in attending the specific program. Law students must include a copy of their current student ID card. All requests for financial aid must be submitted at least four weeks before the start of the conference. ICI will review the submitted materials and inform you whether you have been approved for financial aid.
