You may register online, or you may complete the registration form and return it to the applicable address noted below. Conference policy allows up to two individuals from associate member firms to attend at the member rate. Registrations will not be accepted by telephone.
*This rate applies to independent directors/trustees of ICI member funds. A volume discount may apply if three or more independent directors/trustees from one fund complex pay for and attend the conference. There will not be a conference dinner on Wednesday, October 26. Other organizations may host dinners for conference attendees. When registering for the conference, please choose “opt in” to receive promotional emails with dinner invitations or “opt out” if you do not wish to receive these communications.
Cancellations received on or before October 18, 2016, will be subject to a $200 administrative fee. Notices of cancellation must be received in writing. After October 18, 2016, we regret that no registration fees can be refunded.

Attendees may make reservations at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park at the special conference rate of $315 (plus tax) based upon availability.
- The hotel will not accept reservations over the telephone for hotel rooms at the conference rate. All reservations and modifications to existing reservations must be made online in order to receive the conference rate. A credit card is required to guarantee your reservation.
- You will receive an acknowledgment of your hotel reservation via email.
- Hotel reservations must be made by September 26, 2016, to ensure the special conference rate.

Hotel check-in time is 3:00 p.m.
Hotel checkout time is noon.
Attendees will not receive a binder of all slide presentations at the conference. These, as well as supplemental session materials, will be available online to view and download approximately one week before the conference begins.
Business casual is customary.
CONTINUING EDUCATION (CLE)
This program has been approved by the State Bar of California for CLE credit. Application for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) approval will be submitted by ICI to Illinois and Pennsylvania. This program should qualify for approximately 11.0 hours of CLE credit. Because the credit requirements vary from state to state and are governed by different regulatory agencies, we suggest that you contact your governing body to learn if this program meets your individual requirements.
CONTINUING Professional EDUCATION (CPE)
Upon completion of the 2016 Fund Directors Conference, each participant will be eligible for approximately 14.5 hours of CPE credit. Please check back closer to the conference date for more specific details.
Learning Objectives: Understand the issues affecting closed-end funds and the trends in closed-end fund offerings, as well as the perspective of fund sponsors, fund shareholders, independent directors, attorneys, and regulators.

Prerequisites: No prerequisites or advance preparations are necessary for this conference.
Attendance: Due to NASBA recordkeeping requirements, please be sure to sign in/out for each session.
The Investment Company Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.
ICI’s FINANCIAL AID POLICY
ICI will make full or partial scholarships available for Institute conferences to lawyers and law students experiencing financial hardships. Under this policy, a financial hardship is defined as income of $35,000 or less.

To apply for financial aid, submit a completed registration form, along with a letter stating your interest in attending the specific program to email@example.com. Law students must include a copy of their current student ID card. All requests for financial aid must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the start of the conference. Once your materials are received, ICI will review and respond to you as to whether or not you have been approved for financial aid.
