CLE / CPE Information

Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credit

This program should qualify for approximately 11 hours of CLE credit, depending on individual state requirements. Because credit requirements vary by state and are governed by different regulatory agencies, please contact your governing body to learn if this program meets your individual requirements.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit

Upon completion of this program, participants may be eligible for up to 16 hours of CPE credit. ICI is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.

Learning objectives:

To provide information to the investment company independent director community about current topics of interest, including industry trends, litigation and regulatory developments, crisis response planning, and potential effects on the fund industry.

Prerequisites: No prerequisites or advance preparations are necessary for this conference.
Attendance: Due to NASBA recordkeeping requirements, please be sure to sign in and out for each session on each day. Sign-in sheets will be provided adjacent to the conference registration desk. You must sign in and sing out for each session to be eligible for CLE/CPE credit. Information collected by this process is used by ICI and will not be shared with any other organization for any purpose other than state required audits.   

CPE certificates were available at the conference registration desk on the final day of the conference. CLE certificates of attendance will be mailed after state approval(s) are received, which may take up to 16 weeks.

No prerequisites or advance preparations were necessary for these programs.

Financial Aid Policy

ICI will make full or partial scholarships available for Institute conferences to lawyers and law students experiencing financial hardships. Under this policy, a financial hardship is defined as income of $35,000 or less.

No income:

100 percent discount

Income below $35,000:

50 percent discount

Income above $35,000:

No discount

To apply for financial aid, participants were required to submit a completed registration form, along with a letter stating interest in attending the specific program. Law students were required to include a copy of their current student ID card. All requests for financial aid had to be submitted at least four weeks before the start of the conference.
